FAQ
What kinds of personal data are detected?
Names, email addresses, phone numbers, Italian tax codes (codice fiscale), IBANs, VAT numbers, addresses and dates of birth. Items with a fixed shape, such as emails, IBANs and tax codes, are matched by structural rules; names and addresses are inferred heuristically. Either way the proposal is yours to review before you redact.
Is automatic detection free?
During the beta it's free, on your own PDFs too. Drawing redaction boxes by hand is always free.
Does my document get uploaded for scanning?
Never. Detection and redaction both run locally in your browser, nothing is sent anywhere.
