Anonymize a PDF, GDPR-grade
DocRazor finds the personal data in your PDF (names, emails, IDs, IBANs, phone numbers) and removes it permanently, not just covers it. Anonymization runs entirely in your browser: the document is never uploaded, which matters when you share a contract or filing under GDPR.
Open the Redact tool and load your PDF.
Click 'Find personal data' and review what was detected.
Anonymize and download: the data is gone from the file, not recoverable.
FAQ
Is anonymizing different from a black rectangle?
Yes. A black box leaves the text selectable underneath. DocRazor rasterizes the page, so the data is truly removed and not recoverable. That difference is what matters for GDPR.
What data gets anonymized?
Names, emails, phone numbers, tax codes, IBANs, VAT numbers, addresses and dates of birth. Structured IDs are detected precisely; names heuristically, so always review before confirming.
Is the file uploaded anywhere?
No. Anonymization happens 100% in your browser. Nothing leaves your device, verifiable in your developer tools (F12).
